V.I.P. 300
V.I.P.
300 consists of a lighting unit with a 300 Watt Osram metal halide lamp
specially made for Clay Paky and directly derived from the more Powerful
types utilized in professional lighting fixtures. The basic unit consists
of a lighting unit, an objective lens and twin guides on which effects
can be mounted. The effects, which can be combined in modular configurations
are supplied as optional extras and can be chosen from a huge range.
Two electrified guides (which carry the electricity supply) are attached
to the lighting unit; the guides carry a 24V supply for total user safety
and are protected against short circuits. The lens support, which is supplied
with the standard, objective lens, is mounted on the guides. The lens
support can accommodate lenses with a different focal length and of a
different type of optional effects. A wide range of optional effects,
many combinable, can also be mounted on the guides. The electrified guides
are a great innovation for this type of luminaire: they make it extraordinarily
simple to set up the units and work with the effects that have been chosen
for the job in hand.
